Democracy in Fiji is now well-established, says newly-sworn in Deputy Prime Minister and Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Viliame Gavoka.
He stated this in response to questions from this paper relating to the result of yesterday’s secret poll voting in Parliament.
“This was completed above Board and in any case this, we’re all happy with the way in which we govern ourselves, this can be a good instance that we should always emulate going ahead,” Mr Gavoka stated.
“I believe we’re maturing as a rustic.
“Democracy in Fiji is now nicely established and the change of presidency on this method as we speak signifies that we’re really on the way in which to be a rustic that we are able to all be happy with, and shedding our historical past which has been a bit chequered during the last couple of years.”
Mr Gavoka stated yesterday was a proud day for everyone.
