MILAN (Reuters) -Italy’s greatest cellphone group Telecom Italia has secured works value 725 million euros ($755.67 million) in a authorities tender for the deployment of 5G networks, the ministry for technological innovation and digital transition stated on Monday.
Earlier this 12 months the EU Fee accredited a 2 billion-euro Italian scheme to help the roll out of 5G cellular networks via the Restoration and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
The awarded tender included six geographical heaps, with financing overlaying as much as 90% of the entire price of the works, the ministry stated, including that each one different operators would get wholesale entry to the financed infrastructure.
